A slow waddle down memory lane

My undergraduate senior recital was in February of 2006 – 15 years ago (criminey, what have I been doing with my life?). Here are five of my favorite selections (about a third of the recital) from the ancient Compact Disc that the university made for me of the event. I practiced 90 minutes a day, 6 days a week for almost 6 months leading up to it (I was in town taking summer classes, and got to get a head start). And yet, I still made mistakes. That is a good lesson for any young musicians out there – you can and should practice as much as you can, but live music is live music.

So join me in a walk down memory lane, won’t you? I created some title cards that are appropriate for how how very long ago it was. The whole thing is less than 15 minutes.

But … By popular demand!

So much love has been shown to my original video that I put together another video of my SECOND favorite selections from that same recital. This one is only about 10 minutes, and has a little bit different background image.
